Quotes

"I just had to send you this note following the Quartet’s concert tonight.  They were an absolute rave from our ‘old, sophisticated and sometimes difficult to read audience', and from my perspective, Quarteto Nuevo should be playing everywhere!  What a combination of talent in those four, so-called LA Freelancers….my god!  The unique instrumentation, the collection of works that they prepared for this concert, their strong performances and their warm, welcoming effect on stage were absolutely award-winning!"  Drew Cady – Del Mar First Thursday Series and Philharmonic Society of Orange County

"Quarteto Nuevo gave us a superb performance! Their artistry was matched by their warm banter with the audience.  I've heard nothing but positive comments. I couldn't count the number of comments of "wow!" by patrons at the end of the night. Couldn't have been better!"
Larry McCloskey – Executive Director - Bitterroot Performing Arts Council

"Quarteto Nuevo's incredible musicianship shines on record but must truly be seen to be appreciated to the fullest. Deftly weaving between jazzy improvisation and syncopations that surprise and delight, these four musicians are truly a symphony unto themselves."
John Arvish – Program Host - Montana Public Radio

"A spectacular finale for our Music in the Garden series at Descanso Gardens. Thank you for trusting me with your beautiful ensemble and music. The virtuosity, dignity and elegance of your music is a thing of beauty. Audiences were brimming with joy to hear soundscapes from many different worlds, cultures, genres, and eras. And how intuitively you weave these sounds seamlessly while we are still able to hear the shifts and nuances. You played exquisitely despite the sweltering heat. And most of all - such a warm hearted and loving ensemble!"
Anu K. Ganpati – Producer/Curator – Descanso Gardens – La Canada, CA

"Working with Quarteto Nuevo was a reminder of how polished, tight and professional a band can be.  They were both easygoing and driven, depending on what each situation called for at the moment.  We shared lots of laughs and lots of time perfecting as many elements of their production as possible.  Their outreach skills were on-point, and they easily captured and held the attention of 40+ students while working them through the rehearsal of pieces they performed with Quarteto Nuevo during our ticketed performance later in the week.  The show was outstanding, and we have had numerous patrons asking when they can see Quarteto Nuevo again in the future.  To anyone looking to work with Quarteto Nuevo - do not hesitate - they won't disappoint!"
Kris Nickeson – Creative Broomfield – Broomfield, CO
