Quotes
"The performances are just perfect—he doesn’t try to make the music more than it is, but he does realize the real heart in these pieces. If you don’t know Morel’s music, this is a wonderful chance to hear a healthy helping of pure delight." - American Record Guide
"It’s 20 years since John Williams’ spellbinding version [of Koyunbaba] came out; Kaya’s assured rendering certainly deserves to be mentioned in the same breath." - Classical Guitar Magazine
"We find everything in this disc that can satisfy both music lovers and guitarists in search of pieces rarely heard and very attractive for a future recital. This disc does much more than just document the most serious rival of Segovia when he began his career as a virtuoso." -- Guy Suavé
"This is a most enjoyable programme with some new treasures to delight. The playing is splendid in every sense by one of the outstanding young virtuosos of the guitar." - Zane Turner
"The playing here by Kaya is impeccable. He has total technical command over the instrument and plays with a full, rich tone… Whether the music stands alone as superior, or whether Kaya makes it sound that way because he is such a fine musician, is a matter for the listener." © 2026 MusicWeb International Zane Turner
